I usually save this kind of information for my “news” page but I am getting so many questions about Valentine’s Day suggestions that I thought I’d post on some of the specials that I have heard about this week.
But before I do that…if you are in the Western suburbs of Chciago this Sunday. Make sure you stop by RA Sushi in Lombard between 1-3 PM to help support me and the 100 Club of DuPage County in the Foodies Show Heart Event.

This Valentine’s Day, taste the romance at Shaw’s Crab House in Chicago! On Friday, February 14, 2014 and Saturday, February 15, 2014, all lovers are invited to indulge in a special four-course menu with optional wine pairings. Owner/Chef Bill Kim is giving food-loving couples a reason to celebrate this Valentine’s Day. Along with serving bellyQ’s full a la carte menu for the evening, the restaurant is also offering up a six-course tasting menu ($75) with a grill at the Chef’s Table for just six lucky couples. Other couples can cozy up by the grill at one of bellyQ’s grill tables with the order of a grill feast. The dining room will be offering three seatings for the night: 5-7pm, 7-8pm and 9-10pm.
